Antitrust & Competition: Mergers & Acquisitions
While effective antitrust counseling may start with an understanding of the federal antitrust guidelines, it almost never ends there. We believe that our value as economists comes much more from our ability to guide counsel toward, and then through, those few antitrust issues that represent the fulcrum of any particular matter. For example, in merger analysis, an analysis of market definition and the likelihood of post-merger unilateral price increases or potential collusion is often more powerful than an analysis of ease-of-entry and/or market efficiencies defenses. Gnarus’ senior antitrust experts are well-versed in these distinctions, and look forward to helping counsel focus their efforts and resources into those areas that provide the greatest benefit to their own clients.
